Caretaker job summary

Old Hall Junior School (OHJCT1) are seeking to recruit a Caretaker.

This essential role in our school involves undertaking duties to ensure the safety, security, cleanliness and maintenance of our buildings and grounds.

Key duties include site security, carrying out basic repairs and daily caretaking tasks to help keep our learning environment safe and welcoming. The Caretaker is also responsible for reporting any faults which require more specialist help to the appropriate people. An essential part of the Caretaking role involves ensuring all fire safety and health and safety regulations are adhered to.

The successful candidate will have:

- Good DIY skills and knowledge and basic maintenance

- The ability to work independently and have a proactive approach

- Have good communication skills and be a reliable member of the team

- Be able to work successfully as part of the cleaning and maintenance team.

The role is for 20 hours per week.

The working pattern is:

Monday - Friday

11.30am - 1.30pm daily

And

3.30pm - 5.30pm daily
