- Part time: 30 hours per week, all year round. The working pattern during term time will be alternate weeks 7am to 1.30 pm (week 1) and 1.30 pm to 8pm (week 2) allowing for a 30-minute unpaid break. Flexibility to the work pattern will be possible during the school holidays

What skills and experience we're looking for
Chulmleigh Academy Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Caretaker to join the premises team. Duties will include site maintenance, Health and Safety, porterage and keyholder duties. Ideally, the successful candidate will be available to start from September 2026.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player with a ‘can do’ attitude. You will have an eye for detail and an ability to act on your own initiative. The Academy is seeking an individual committed to the provision of high-quality cleanliness, maintenance and security of the school buildings and grounds to ensure a comfortable, well-maintained and safe working environment for all users.The primary location of the role is Chulmleigh College, but the successful candidate will be required to work across all the Academy schools.
Candidates should demonstrate their commitment to high standards of Health and Safety and show their determination to contribute to the future development of the school. The successful candidate will also provide support to the Academy by providing first aid cover.
The job involves driving Chulmleigh Academy Trust’s vehicles, including a minibus, and you will be required to hold a full, clean driving licence with D1 privileges. This will be a regular commitment of approximately 1 hour per day during the term time.
