We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, pro-active, dedicated and motivated Caretaker and Cleaner to help us to keep our school in pristine condition so our children can learn and grow in a healthy environment. Please note, this role can be split into two separate roles.
The post holder (s) will carry out a range of duties including:
Caretaker (10 hrs per week):
● Ensuring the school premises and contents and environments are properly maintained, secured, safe and ready for use.
● To be responsible for the security of the premises and its contents, including the checking and operation of fire and burglar alarms and undertaking key holder responsibilities.
● To be available to answer emergencies outside of regular working hours.
● To ensure that heating and lighting systems and other equipment are working properly.
● Monitoring and re-ordering cleaning and caretaking supplies
● Undertake training relevant to the role
● some cleaning duties are required within this role
Cleaner (13 hours per week):
● Cleaning to the standard laid down by the school;
● Replenishing sanitary materials;
● Being aware of and complying with COSHH guidelines (training will be given);
● Undertake training relevant to the role
The successful candidate will join a highly enthusiastic, dedicated and supportive staff team, who have the children at the centre of all that we do and who embrace our vision of ‘Reaching for the Stars’.
