St Benet’s Primary School is a small and friendly Primary School in Beccles which is federated with St Edmund’s in Bungay and is part of a larger Catholic school family of St John the Baptist Multi Academy Trust. We have a highly committed team of hard working staff who deliver the best possible inclusion, learning and achievement for all our pupils.
The Head Teacher and Governing Body of St Benet’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated person to take on this extremely important role within the school.
Working a split shift you will be a key holder responsible for opening the site in the morning and closing in the evening, ensuring the security of the buildings and contents, health and safety monitoring and will be expected to deliver the full range of caretaking, cleaning, maintenance and general repair duties to a high standard and completing the relevant paperwork, as set out in the job description.
Work schedule is: Monday to Friday 6.30am to 8.30am/9am and 3pm to 6pm
This is a varied and interesting role and you must be able to work effectively as part of a team, be friendly, approachable, conscientious and have the ability to readily adapt to differing priorities and work well under pressure. You must also have the physical ability to carry out manual handling tasks (up to 25Kg).

Desirable - Health and Safety at Work training already in place. Experience in Legionella testing desirable.
Training needs will be supported by the St John the Baptist MAT Facilities Team.
