Caretaker job summary

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated person to join our friendly, hardworking and enthusiastic teams at two schools within Embark Trust. You do not need to have any experience to apply for this role but this is of course desirable. We are committed to providing full training as our main focus is to find someone eager to engage with the role and someone who has a positive, out-going manner with excellent people skills.

Whilst ensuring the safe unlocking and locking of the school during your designated hours, the post will also involve working alongside a Site Manager at Kilburn Junior School and cleaning teams at both schools to ensure they are maintained to the incredibly high standards that we have become accustomed to.

As a member of Embark Federation Multi Academy Trust, we are committed to developing our staff with a range of training and support and we may be able to offer other opportunities to work across the trust.

More information about our schools can be found by visiting our websites at www.kilburnjunior.school and www.horsleywoodhouse.derbyshire.sch.uk

Interested candidates are strongly invited to look around the school. Please call Kilburn Junior School on 01332 880540 and speak to Charlene Hudson and Horsley Woodhouse Primary School on 01332 880403 and ask for Rachel Langford to make arrangements.

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, candidates will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
