What skills and experience we're looking for
Awareness of Health & Safety
Ability to use tools for making minor repairs
Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties
Experience of working as part of a team
Promotion and maintenance of a clean, tidy, safe and hygienic school environment which gives a positive image of the school to children, staff, parents and visitors.
Ability to prioritise and manage workflow whilst maintaining a flexible approach to respond to urgent requests.
Able to work with minimum supervision, whilst taking direction well when required.
Ability to carry out general caretaking and cleaning duties as detailed in the Job Description.
Ability to converse at ease with colleagues, pupils and external visitors/suppliers and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
A clean driving licence.

Further details about the role
To work as directed by the Estates Manager and SBM’s, to be responsible for the maintenance, security and facilities management service on School site and premises and provide specialist support in a specific resource area and be responsible for the maintenance of a clean and hygienic school.
• Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and productive working environment
• Ensure timely and accurate design, preparation and use of specialist equipment/resources/materials
• To undertake safety audits of the premises and assist with relevant risk assessments as required
• Promote and ensure the health and safety of pupil’s staff & visitors at all times
