This role is ideal for someone who is practical, dependable, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and functional environment.

Your responsibilities will include the day-to-day upkeep of the school buildings and grounds, carrying out minor repairs, overseeing site security, and supporting the smooth running of school operations. You’ll also play a key role in setting up for events, managing deliveries, and ensuring that health and safety standards are consistently met.

This is a hands-on and rewarding role that requires initiative, flexibility, and a strong sense of responsibility.

We can offer:

  • Generous 27 days annual leave entitlement, rising to 32 days after 5 years service
  • The opportunity to be part of a dynamic and successful team
  • Access to Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Networking opportunities.
  • Flexible working pattern

A key feature of the post is flexibility and a willingness to work as part of a multi-disciplined team under the direction of the Headteacher and the Business Manager.

This post is full time including school holidays, alternating shift pattern of 06.30am – 2.30pm and 10.30am – 6.30pm.

We are passionate about our school and want to fill it with staff who share the same passion, values and drive. You would be warmly welcomed to our school at any time, to see and feel what Our Lady & St Bede is like on a typical day and to ask any questions you may have on an informal basis.
