The Misbourne is seeking a caretaker to join our premises team. We are looking for an excellent team player who is motivated and reliable; someone with a trade background would be ideal, or someone who is competent in general maintenance. The site is busy, so you will need to be well organised and possess a calm and positive manner. The role has lots of varied responsibilities so you should be flexible and comfortable with every day being different. We aim to recruit the right person for the role and are willing to invest in training and development for the right candidate.

Are you:

  • able to provide the efficient and effective day-to-day running, presentation and management of the School site, ensuring a warm, clean, safe and secure environment for all stakeholders?

  • dynamic and well organised, with a good attention to detail?

  • competent in basic DIY skills and able to carry out school maintenance and repairs?

  • flexible, reliable and good with problem solving?

  • confident in communicating with contractors and school staff?

  • able to follow Health and Safety policies relevant to the post including those relating to manual handling, working at height, COSHH and fire safety?

You will be part of a dynamic maintenance team, who work together in maintaining and improving the site to ensure it is a safe environment to work and learn. You will be given key-holding responsibilities and be expected to undertake minor repairs and help around the school site as directed by the Estates Manager.

  • An academy that puts wellbeing at the top of our priorities

  • Free access to our own fully-fitted gym (subject to opening hours)

  • Cycle to Work Scheme

  • Career Development Bursary Scheme.
