JOB DESCRIPTION: Caretaker
SALARY DETAILS: DSAT Grade 3 SCP 5-6 on the NJC Pay Structure, £25,989 pro rata, Generous employers pension scheme with the Local Government (South Yorkshire Pension Authority)
WORKING PATTERN: Permanent, miminum of 25 hours per week
Working hours: negotiable depending on candidate suitability
Treeton C of E Primary School are part of The Diocese of Sheffield Academies Trust and we are seeking a diligent and proactive Caretaker with good interpersonal skills and high standards. We need a person who understands the need for safeguarding procedures within schools and loves to fix, clean, build, unblock, paint, mow, weed and take genuine ownership and pride in our school. The Caretaker will be directly responsible to the Head of School but will work closely with the Trust Buildings Manager, Senior Leadership Team, Office Manager, and other school staff.
The Caretaker is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the school site ensuring the buildings and grounds are clean and safe, ready for the children and staff to work, learn and play. Your role will include opening up the school each morning and locking at the end of the day.
We are seeking:
Someone who is proactive and diligent
Ideally has a trade background/training in either plumbing, joinery, plastering, painting/decorating, electrician, grounds maintenance
Ability to multi task across a range of activities
A conscientious person who sets high standards with attention to detail
Someone who can develop good relationships with staff and has excellent communication skills
A good team member, but able to work independently
