The Kennet Federation (Southcote and Katesgrove Primary Schools) are seeking a reliable and practical Casual Assistant Caretaker to support the smooth and safe running of our school sites. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys hands on work and is flexible, dependable, and community minded.

As a Casual Assistant Caretaker, you will provide ad hoc cover to support the day to day maintenance, security, and cleanliness of the school premises.

Our friendly schools are looking to appoint a Casual Assistant Caretaker to join our hardworking and supportive team. We are seeking an efficient, multi-skilled individual who can work across all locations within The Kennet Federation.

The successful candidate will:
• Take pride in maintaining a high standard of the school environment
• Be hardworking, self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Provide day-to-day facilities support, including general site maintenance
• Be able to carry out basic building maintenance tasks and minor repairs
• Have good communication skills, with a good level of spoken English
• Be willing to undertake statutory Health & Safety training relevant to the role
• Be flexible, with the ability to travel and work across three sites within the Federation

We are looking for someone who:
• Is practical, hands on, and able to work independently
• Has a flexible approach to working hours
• Is reliable, trustworthy, and takes pride in their work
• Has good communication skills and a positive attitude
