Casual Care Club Assistant job summary

Prestolee Multi Academy Trust are seeking to appoint a warm, caring, and enthusiastic Care Club Assistant to join our team at Hollingworth Primary School. The successful candidate will support the effective delivery of before and/or after-school care club provision, ensuring pupils are safe, well cared for, and engaged in a nurturing and stimulating environment.


This is a casual relief position, with working hours offered on an as-needed basis to provide cover within the care club provision.

About You

We are looking for a person who has:

  • Experience working with children in a school, childcare, playwork, or care club setting
  • Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • A warm, caring, and child-centred approach
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Good communication skills with children, staff, and parents/carers
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • An understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety
  • The ability to manage behaviour positively and calmly
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a relief role
  • A willingness to undertake training and develop own practice

A relevant Level 2 childcare or playwork qualification is desirable but not essential.
