Casual Lunchtime Supervisors 

Kingsway Primary School, Leicester

Kingsway Primary School is looking to build a pool of caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Casual Lunchtime Supervisors who we can call upon as and when needed. Our friendly team occasionally needs support in ensuring a safe, happy, and positive lunchtime experience for our pupils.

Hours: 1 hour 15 minutes per day, Monday to Friday (term time only) as required

Contract: Casual

Salary: Grade 4 point 6 £12.95 per hour (£24,997 pro rata)

The Role

As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will:

• Build positive relationships with all children in line with the positive ethos and expectations of the school

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime, both in the dining hall and on the playground

• Encourage good behaviour, positive play, and social interaction

• Ensure the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of all children at all times

• Assist younger pupils where necessary (e.g. with opening lunch containers)

• Deal with minor incidents and report concerns in line with school procedures

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Enjoys working with children and understands their needs

• Is calm, patient, and approachable

• Can promote positive behaviour and teamwork

• Is reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

• Has good communication skills with both children and adults

Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
