Job overview

We are currently looking for a Catering Assistant to join our fantastic team at Chorlton High School. This is an exciting opportunity to join our experienced and dynamic catering team.

The salary for this post is Grade 2, Scale Point 3. The working hours will be 25 hours per week Monday to Friday during term time plus 5 INSET days. The pro-rata salary is £13,969 reflecting the working hours. The full-time equivalent salary is £22,737.

Main purpose of the job:

To work as part of the Team and contribute to the achievement of its objectives, providing an effective and efficient catering service. This includes preparing and serving food, maintaining the associated catering areas in accordance with food hygiene regulations.

Key relationships:

The post holder will report to the School Cook Manager and work closely with catering team members and lunchtime organisers.

The closing date for this application is 14 April 2024 with interviews to take place shortly thereafter.

From time to time, we may ask catering staff if they are able to support at another school within the Trust where we need to cover absence. If you are selected for interview, we will discuss this with you to see whether this is something you are able to do and if so, which schools are most suitable for you.
