Ninestiles, an Academy are looking to appoint a highly motivated Catering Assistant to assist the Catering Team in the provision of efficient and effective catering support of the school site. The kitchen is a busy operation offering a food service to over 1450 learners, 150 colleagues and visitors to the School. The team is comprised of Chefs and General Catering Assistants who are responsible for delivering high quality food from scratch providing breakfast, lunch and buffets.
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate that they have previous experience in a catering environment. Other essential skill sets involve the ability to be able to work flexibly and prioritise workload, work calmly under pressure and uphold a professional, friendly manner at all times. It is desirable for candidates have a Level 2 Award in Food Safety or equivalent qualification.
Purpose of Role:
To work as part of a team in a busy canteen environment.
Support the Catering Manager with deliveries which will involve some heavy lifting and tracking of inventory.
Promote the importance of great customer service to all.
