Catering Assistant job summary
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team in supporting school meal service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve school meals to pupils in a friendly and efficient manner
- Set up and clear down dining tables and benches (involves manual handling)
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area
- Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure smooth meal service
- You will need to have basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene or be prepared to attend training.
Requirements:
- Good time management and reliability
- Ability to lift and move tables and benches safely
- Friendly and approachable manner
- Previous catering or food service experience is desirable but not essential

The position is for 7.5 hours per week, 11:30am - 1.00pm
Salary FTE £24,735.00 - Actual £4,236.00
Contract type: Permanent - Term Time Only
