Part time Cleaner job summary

St Laurence In Thanet Church of England Junior Academy are looking to appoint a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join our friendly site team.

The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for pupils, staff and visitors, and be able to adapt to the changing needs of a busy school environment.

Key Information:

This post is for 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday 3:30pm-5:30pm term time only (38 weeks).

Duties will include:
  • Cleaning classrooms, offices and communal areas
  • Hoovering, sweeping and mopping floors
  • Cleaning toilets and wash areas
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly
  • Using cleaning equipment and products safely
  • Adapting cleaning tasks as required to meet the needs of the school
The ideal candidate will:
  • Be hardworking, dependable and trustworthy
  • Have good attention to detail
  • Be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
