Catering Assistant - Greengate Lane Academy
Location: Sheffield
Contract: Permanent, Part-Time - working hours are 10:45am-1:30pm Monday-Friday , 13.75 hrs per week , term time only.
Greengate Lane Academy is looking for a friendly and reliable Catering Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in creating a positive lunchtime experience for our children, helping to ensure they are well-fed and ready to learn.
As Catering Assistant, you will support the preparation and serving of meals, maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and contribute to a warm, welcoming dining environment. You’ll work closely with the kitchen team and wider school staff to ensure every child enjoys a safe and nutritious mealtime.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the preparation and serving of food and drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Follow food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
- Support the smooth running of lunchtime service.
- Help create a friendly and inclusive atmosphere for pupils.
- A positive and approachable team player.
- Experience in catering or food service (school experience desirable but not essential).
- A commitment to safeguarding and supporting children’s wellbeing.
- Good communication skills and a flexible attitude.
- Someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working in a school environment.
