Hours: Part time, 20 hours per week
Additional role info: Working Pattern - Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day (occasionally the successful candidate may be asked to work extra hours to help cover staff absences)

We are looking for a dedicated Catering Assistant to support our school’s kitchen team in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to our students and staff. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a vibrant school community, where your contribution helps fuel learning and wellbeing every day.
We are looking for a calm and enthusiastic individual to join our catering team to assist with general preparation, presentation and service of food for Kingsmead School and local primary schools. Relevant experience (and a clean driving licence) is desirable, but not essential as training can be provided.
You will have:
- an understanding of the working conditions within a busy kitchen environment
- a keen interest in working within an education-based environment and commitment to inclusion and acceptance of all
- the ability to work as part of a team, form effective relationships with colleagues to ensure an effective catering service
- excellent time management skills
- good interpersonal skills, able to communicate well with children and adults.
- the ability to keep clear and accurate records
- the ability to maintain confidentiality over matters relating to the school, students, staff, or parents
