Moseley Park is seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant to join our ready established catering team. This position is working Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week, serving high volumes of students, staff and visitors throughout the day.
Job Summary
Prepare items for breakfast from 7.00am
Assist with the day to day running of the kitchen
Help prepare and present freshly cooked food to a high standard.
Adhere strictly to Food Hygiene Regulations and other safety procedures at all times.
Adhere to a high standard of personal hygiene.
Be assertive to ensure that food is served promptly as directed by the Kitchen Supervisor.
Prepare adequate portion sizes as directed by the Kitchen Supervisor.
Daily clearing up and cleaning of the kitchen
Help with any other duties at the request of the Kitchen Supervisor.
Be flexible to cover other local sites within the trust, if needed.
Remain professional towards our students, adhering to safeguarding procedures.
It is preferred that the ideal candidate has worked in a similar environment working with various dietary and allergy requirements e.g. (Nursery/School/Retirement home etc). Also, with a good knowledge of documentation required within the catering industry.
The successful candidate will hold a Level 2 in Food Safety qualification. (This can be completed upon a successful interview and prior to the agreed start date).
