Catering Assistant job summary

Ormiston Sandwell Community Academy is located in the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell, and in very close proximity to the centre of Birmingham. We are a slightly larger than average, 11–16 co-educational academy with approximately 1,150 students. The academy’s reputation locally is excellent. OSCA was graded as a good academy for the third time in October 2023.

We are currently seeking a Catering Assistant to support the catering team with the provision of all catering within school in a professional, safe and hygienic manner. The successful candidate will work 24 hours per week (Monday to Friday), term-time only, including training days. We are committed to providing an excellent catering service to our students and staff.

Previous experience is desirable but training will be given. Candidates must be willing to undertake the Level 2 Food Safety and any other relevant training.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible, organised, a good communicator, have initiative and be comfortable working in a busy catering environment. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team.
