Catering Assistant job summary
Slough and Eton school are looking to appoint a part time Catering Assistant for general catering duties such as food preparation, serving and cleaning in the school restaurant. Previous catering experience is desirable but training will be provided to the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be able to provide a friendly and efficient service to pupils and staff of the school and have an awareness of basic food hygiene. A Food Hygiene certificate would be an advantage but appropriate training will be given.
An aspect of this role will be to provide lunchtime duty as a cashier in the school restaurant on occasion. Experience of operating electronic tills would be an advantage. Basic numeracy skills are essential for this position.
The successful applicant will be a team worker who is able to work with the minimum of supervision, enjoy being around young people and be ready to learn new skills. Applicants need to be resourceful, adaptable, physically fit and able to show initiative.
