Catering Assistant job summary

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food as directed.
• Rotate as and when required between the Craven Kitchen, the Sixth Form Hatch and the Staff Room.
• Assist in all general cleaning duties of these areas, including deep cleaning, as and when required.

The successfuly candidate should be able to demonstrate:

• Flexibility, which is essential in relation to hours of work, should there be a need to cover an absence within the team.
• Excellent communication skills with both adults and young people.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will need to hold the Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification, or be prepared to obtain it immediately.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
