ABOUT THE VACANCY:
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Catering Assistant to support the Catering Lead to provide high quality, cost effective meals to learners, staff and visitors at Greenacre School.
Location
The role will be based at Greenacre School, Barnsley, S70 6RG.
Working pattern
15 hours per week
Monday to Friday
11am until 2.00pm

ABOUT YOU:
If you are passionate about helping young people and making a difference to their lives we want to hear from you.
We are committed to doing everything possible to ensure children get nutritious meals at school. The post holder will need a passion for catering and an interest in creating nutritional and healthy meals. Previous catering experience is desirable and experience of working in education settings would be advantageous.
The successful applicant will be supporting preparation and delivery of lunchtime menus. They will work as part of a team carrying out all duties as expected in a catering department to ensure a high level of customer service. They will be undertaking high quality cleaning regimes and must adhere to procedures such as, health and safety, allergen control, food safety and stock control and rotation.
We are looking for someone who is flexible to meet the needs of our learners and the team. It would be desirable if you have Food Safety Level 2, or be willing to undertake the training required.
