Are you passionate about healthy school meals and creating a positive dining experience for children? Extend Learning Academies Network (ELAN) is looking for an enthusiastic Catering Manager who will be primarily based at Bournville Primary School to lead our team and deliver nutritious, high-quality food that helps pupils thrive.
Location: Primarily based at Bournville Primary School. there may be requirements at times to work as needed within other ELAN primary schools in Weston-super-Mare
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday, term-time only plus 35 INSET hours
Salary: E4, £21,840.97 (actual)

As Catering Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our kitchens run efficiently, meet food safety standards, and reflect our values of care, creativity, and excellence. You’ll work closely with staff, suppliers, families, and the Catering Operations Manager to provide meals that fuel learning and development.

Your Responsibilities:
Cooking trust menus to meet school needs, maintaining nutritional standards.
Ensure all food meets quality and presentation standards at the point of service.
Manage stock levels and place orders with approved suppliers.
Supervise and motivate catering teams, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Attend training sessions, meetings, and parent evenings as required.
Experience in school catering and providing a delivery service would be advantageous but not essential.
