Catering Manager job summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Catering Manager to run our fantastic school kitchen and provide delicious and nutritious meals for our lovely pupils and staff at Ruskin Junior School.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to cook to a high standard, run a busy kitchen, have great communication skills, and work within all aspects of health & safety and school meal standards.
The main duties will be:
- Responsibility for the operational efficiency of the catering service, planning, preparation and presentation of food to the required standard within agreed budget limitations.
- Planning and developing the School's catering provision for pupils and staff.
- Line manage a team of Catering Assistants.
- Maintain the highest standards of personnel management, hygiene and health and safety.
- It is desirable that the successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification in Catering, Food or Hospitality, ideally to NVQ Level 3.
