Catering Supervisor (Permanent Contract)

Hours of Work: 32.5 hours per week, worked between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm, term time only,

with flexibility to support with after school events and open evenings when required.

Full-Time Equivalent Salary: Grade 3, £27,254-£33,699, Pro Rata (Actual Salary): £21,311-£26,351

Working closely with the Catering Manager, you will help lead the day to day catering operation, supervising the catering team and maintaining high standards of food quality, service, hygiene and compliance.

At Bishop Challoner Catholic College we pride our ourselves on the progressive nature of our catering operation. We currently service approximately 1200 pupils across three retail areas, inclusive of our dedicated Sixth Form catering provision. We are a busy school and see the importance of a sustainable catering offer to our pupils for breakfast, morning break and lunch. If catering is your passion, we will support you fully to deliver the best catering provision possible for our pupils. You will need to be professional, reliable and committed.

Bishop Challoner Catholic College is a highly successful, heavily over-subscribed mixed 11-19 Catholic comprehensive school in the South of Birmingham. We were designated one of the first 100 Teaching Schools in the country and we are also a lead school for the Central Maths Hub and the Schools Sports Partnership. In September 2024, we launched our SCITT which recruits and trains the next generation of inspirational teachers. This is a measure of the high achievements of the school and its excellence in training and developing staff.
