What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appointment a Catering Supervisor to support our busy school canteen between 7.00am and 3.00pm two days per week. The successful applicant will assist with preparation, cooking and serving of food. The role will also involve cleaning and tidying of the kitchen and serving area. Please see the attached job description for further details.

You will work under the direct supervision of the School Catering Manager and Kitchen Supervisor as well as a small team of assistant cooks.

We require:

  • A team player who is happy to support different colleagues as required.
  • Someone who can demonstrate attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety procedures.
  • Experience working in a school kitchen would be an advantage.

The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements. The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.
