Central Administrator job summary
Job Purpose: To undertake administrative, financial, HR and organisational processes for the MAT using own initiative. Assist with planning and development of support services, policies and procedures.
Decision-Making: The job involves working within recognised procedures using initiative. The work may involve responding independently to unexpected problems and situations. The post-holder generally has access to a senior member of staff for advice and guidance on unusual or difficult problems.
Key Duties and Accountabilities
Administration
Under the guidance of senior staff, be responsible for undertaking and maintaining daily, monthly, annual and year end administrative, financial, personnel and organisational processes for the MAT
Provide the Trust with support monitoring GDPR requirements, supporting and liaising with Data Protection Officer as required
Manage the archive, manual and computerised record/information systems
Undertake key operational tasks of absent administration colleagues
Prepare reports, compile and collate papers and information for central meetings and act as minute taker
Reception duties: answering routine telephone calls and face to face enquiries and signing in visitors in line with Trust policies
HR
Manage DBS applications and Single Central Record information under direction
Manage payroll forms within published deadlines
Payroll and HR finance administration
Assist with recruitment and general personnel procedures including induction and personnel folders
Undertake appropriate key tasks of absence administration
Check and submit returns eg school workforce census
Support auditing processes.
Manage staff training/CPD through booking, allocation and record keeping
Finance
Undertake administration of complex procedures including aspects of finance such as recording income, processing central orders and credit card expenditure.
Support auditing processes.
Maintain the contract register.
General
Be prepared to undertake training to further enhance your own professional development
Undertaking other duties as directed and commensurate with the grading of the role.
