If so, we invite you to apply for the role of Chair of Governors at Little Heath Primary School, a vibrant and welcoming school which has recently joined Castle Phoenix Trust.

About the Role

As Chair of Governors, you will lead the Local Governing Body, ensuring strong governance is in place, focusing on the 4Ss – Safeguarding, SEND, Standards and Stakeholder Engagement. You will work collaboratively with the Headteacher, fellow governors, and the Trust to drive continuous improvement and uphold the highest standards in education, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing. Formal meetings take place twice a term (6 times a year).

You will:

· Chair meetings and lead the governing body

· Support and challenge school leadership to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils

· Act as a key link between the school, parents, the community, and the wider Trust

· Ensure compliance with statutory duties and Trust policies

We are seeking someone with:

· Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

· The ability to build consensus and make sound strategic decisions

· Experience of governance, education, or leadership (not essential – full training provided)

· A genuine commitment to improving children’s lives through excellent education
