Chemistry Teacher job summary

Capital City Academy is seeking an inspirational Chemistry teacher with strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach A-level Chemistry to join our innovative, lively and dedicated Science department. Most students study the separate sciences at GCSE and take up is good at KS5 for both A-level and BTEC Applied Science. Capital has also been approved to run the new Science and Healthcare T-level and practical science experiments are a key feature alongside new technology to ensure Science is engaging and achievement is excellent. The successful candidate will be a strong teacher, be reflective and innovative and will share the school’s vision and the belief that Capital City Academy will provide exceptional teachers who support students’ passion for learning with the tools for success for every individual. We have additional pastoral and leadership roles available alongside this role for the right candidate. You will be: - an inspirational practitioner - passionate about Chemistry and have excellent academic qualifications and thorough subject knowledge - able to combine academic rigour and achievement with enjoyment of the subject - equipped to deliver strong classroom management - a good communicator, with outstanding planning and organisational skills - committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
