This is an excellent opportunity for a well-qualified, enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join a successful 11-18 girls’ grammar school in Reading to cover a maternity leave for one year. Graded ‘Outstanding’ in its recent OFSTED inspection in November 2022, Kendrick School is a centre of academic excellence with a track record of high performance and achievement.

Applicants need to be able to teach Chemistry throughout the school including A Level, and Science at KS3. The ability to teach a second Science subject at KS4 would be valuable, but not essential. There are large numbers of students who study Chemistry at A Level with many students going on to study Chemistry related subjects at university.

This position would suit a recently qualified teacher or more experienced teacher who is able to impart passion and enthusiasm for the subject to highly motivated, creative and engaging students. Kendrick School has a very good track record of developing ECTs and the successful candidate would be joining a supportive and experienced department. Sponsorship is available but applicants would be expected to have knowledge of GCSE and A Level education system.
