Chief Education Officer job summary

Ethos Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated, experienced and dynamic leader to join our team. The Chief Education Officer is the most senior role leading the educational function across the Trust. Working strategically, the Chief Education Officer will raise the aspiration of all whilst delivering on the mission of the Trust.

We are seeking an exceptional individual to take on the role of Chief Education Officer and provide inspirational leadership across the Trust community. Working closely with the Trust Board, Executive Team, Academy Leaders, key members of the Central Team and wider Trust community, you will:

  • Lead the educational function across the Trust; working strategically to raise aspirations for all

  • Lead school leaders, Executive Headteachers and the School Improvement Team

  • Play an important role in our governance structure and with external stakeholders such as Ofsted and the DfE

  • Improve standards so that schools can deliver the very best outcomes for pupils in schools

  • Deputise for the CEO in their absence.
