What skills and experience we're looking for
Cygnus Academies Trust is a Multi Academy Trust comprised of eight like-minded primary schools serving vibrant and diverse communities across South East London, Dartford and Tonbridge. The Trust is responsible for c£19 million of public funding, 3300 children and 450 staff and we provide the tools, strategies and knowhow to enable everyone to flourish. Our vision is to give everyone in our Trust, irrespective of background, the learning and experience needed to realise their ambition.
Due to our founding CEO retiring, the unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a new CEO to lead our Trust on the next stage of its exciting journey.
Our new CEO will be responsible for the effective delivery of the Trust’s vision and strategy, upholding the values of the Trust, cultivating an inspiring and supportive culture, and of course delivering exceptional educational outcomes for all of the Trust’s schools.
The successful candidate will be ambitious with proven strategic leadership experience. They will be able to work collaboratively, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and communication skills enabling them to engage and motivate all stakeholders across the Trust. Knowledge of the education sector and of key issues affecting the education landscape at national level is essential. Most importantly, the successful candidate will be passionate about education and the role we play in improving and enriching people’s lives - both the pupils we serve and the people who work with us.
