We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Class Teacher to join Krishna Avanti Primary School, someone who is committed to inspiring young minds and creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every pupil can thrive.
You will play a key role in nurturing pupils’ curiosity, confidence and love of learning, while setting high expectations and supporting every child to achieve their full potential.
Working closely with colleagues, families and the wider school community, you will build strong, respectful relationships and create meaningful learning experiences that support pupils’ academic progress, wellbeing and personal development.

What will you do?
• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all pupils, building on their prior knowledge, abilities and individual learning needs.
• Take responsibility for pupils’ attainment, progress and wellbeing through effective assessment, feedback, differentiation and high expectations.
• Establish a safe, purposeful and respectful learning environment, managing behaviour consistently and promoting pupils’ confidence, independence and positive attitudes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, carers and external partners to support pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing, while contributing positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.
• Uphold the professional responsibilities of a teacher, including safeguarding, professional development, effective communication, accurate administration and compliance with relevant statutory requirements and school policies.

Krishna Avanti Primary School is a Hindu-faith Free School for boys and girls that opened in September 2011. We are at full capacity with 420 pupils.
The school is set in 5 acres of land, on Spencefield Lane in Leicester, in Evington Hall. The Grade 2 listed building was built for the High Sheriff of Leicester and was also once a Catholic Convent. The main house has great character with beautiful features including an extraordinary library area. It is set in tranquil grounds making this a wonderful site for an excellent learning environment for all children of any faith and background and providing a spacious learning environment both indoors and outdoors.
