Class Teacher (12 month Temporary Contract) job summary
The Governors are seeking to appoint a creative, inspirational teacher to join our team. Shottery St. Andrew’s Primary is a small school, where each child is valued and nurtured as an individual. We have a strong sense of community, and seek to inspire the highest standards of educational and personal achievement in each student.
The teacher will:
Teach within our Lower school team (Reception/KS1 classes) and ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs and comply with school policy.
Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom;
Contribute to constructive team-building amongst teaching and non-teaching staff, parents and governors.
Have a working knowledge of the national conditions of employment for school teachers as set out in the current copy of the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions.
The national standards for Qualified Teacher Status.
Key Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
Is committed to developing children’s learning and has the ability to motivate and inspire pupils and to provide challenge.
Wishes to start their career in education teaching within Reception or Key Stage one as part of our Lower School.
Will be a strong team member with an enthusiasm to work towards the developing and improving the school.
Have strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to form positive partnership with parents.
