Thank you for your interest in joining Hugh Gaitskell Primary School. We are a large, three-form entry primary school and nursery close to the centre of Leeds. Our motto, One World, One School, reflects our inclusive ethos and our commitment to a high-quality, creative education that challenges and inspires children of all abilities.

Our pupils bring a wonderful mix of ethnicities, cultures, languages and backgrounds, and a wide range of needs, including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and English as an Additional Language (EAL). We are arguably the most mixed and diverse primary school in the city, and we are proud of it.

We are seeking a talented, dedicated and inspirational class teacher, initially based in Year 1, who shares our determination to transform the life chances of our pupils. You will be creative and passionate about bringing the classroom to life. This is an exciting opportunity to take a pivotal role in a fabulously vibrant school.
