Class Teacher - 2 days a week job summary

We are seeking a strong, committed and inspiring teacher to join our team from September 2026.

The Class Teacher plays a key role in delivering high‑quality learning by creating an inclusive, engaging classroom environment. Working with the headteacher to lead a designated subject or aspect, the role promotes strong progress, positive behaviour and personal development, while contributing to the wider life and Christian ethos of the school.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote positive behaviour in line with the Behaviour Policy.
  • Deliver engaging, challenging lessons that inspire progress and a love of learning.
  • Plan coherent learning sequences that support pupil development.
  • Provide inclusive provision for all learners, including SEND, vulnerable pupils and EAL.
  • Assess accurately, track progress and report attainment termly.
  • Uphold safeguarding duties, reporting concerns promptly.
  • Lead a curriculum subject, supporting development and best practice.
  • Contribute to staff collaboration through meetings and subject‑related work.
  • Support extra‑curricular enrichment for pupils.
  • Model professionalism
