Breadsall Hill Top Primary is seeking to appoint a Year 4 Teacher to cover a Maternity Leave and join our existing team. We are looking for an excellent teaching practitioner with, not only high expectations of pupil progress, but also a drive for self-development. The successful applicant will be joining our Key Stage 2 team and play a key role in our two-form entry school, not only in raising attainment, but most importantly helping our children to be happy, safe and secure and creating great memories for our children.
There is a new Head Teacher starting in September, following the retirement of the current post holder. So you would be joining Breadsall at an exciting time as we continue to work hard to be the school of choice for our community and provide our children with the highest quality education that enables them to fulfil their potential, discover new talents and develop a love for learning.
We are looking for an inspirational teacher who is committed to creating a stimulating learning environment through excellent classroom practice and a passion for delivering great teaching and learning. You will:
· Be a consistently good or better primary early careers teacher with secure evidence-based understanding of what makes great teaching
· Be reflective, enjoy challenge and embrace support
· Be passionate about teaching and learning and driven by making a difference to every child
· Care passionately about children and their holistic development whilst still driving forward pupil progress and achievement
· Support the capacity of the school as we seek rapid improvement across all key stages
· Value a team working approach and be keen to contribute and share your skills with colleagues to add value to BHTP
· Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Place a high premium on the importance of relationships and be able to build on and maintain strong relationships with staff, parents and carers, children, governors and the local and wider community
· Be willing to commit to enhancing our after-school programme of enrichment
