What skills and experience we're looking for

In addition to the personnel specification, the right candidate will:

  • Be an inspirational teacher, providing a stimulating environment for learning, motivating and enthusing children;
  • Have a good knowledge of how children learn;
  • Have high expectations of pupil achievement and effectively plan, and assess to meet needs;
  • Have a clear understanding of what effective teaching and learning looks like and can deliver it consistently;
  • Have an experienced and in-depth understanding of the mastery curriculum;
  • Be able to work well in a team; be enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable;
  • Be able to liaise effectively with parents and build excellent relationships with children and their families.
