Beormund Primary is a outstanding specialist provision supporting children with complex social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). Children often arrive disillusioned, disengaged and with a dissociation to school and learning and so are met each day with warmth, kindness, clear boundaries and high expectations. Our aim is to nurture their curiosity, improve their self-confidence so that they feel safe and secure to take risks, make mistakes and continually learn. Our aim is for all children to make significant progress relative to their starting point – academically, emotionally and socially.

We are a school filled with bright, articulate and talented children who all have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP). Our children have a plethora of needs, many have Adverse Childhood Experiences which shapes the way they see and respond to the world.

Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.
