Class Teacher job summary

The St John Paul II Multi Academy is a highly successful Catholic Multi Academy encompassing nine Primary Schools and two Secondary Schools. Our schools are located in the northern area of Birmingham.

The ethos of St John Paul II Multi Academy is Catholic and was founded by the Catholic Church to provide education for children of Catholic families. As a Catholic Multi Academy, we aim to provide a Catholic education for all our pupils. It is essential that the Catholic character of the school’s education be fully supported by all staff within the multi academy. We therefore hope that all staff will give their full, unreserved and positive support for the aims and ethos of the St John Paul II Multi Academy.

We are now seeking a passionate Class Teacher to join our committed, faith‑driven school community. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner - including Early Career Teachers - who is enthusiastic about delivering high‑quality learning, fostering strong relationships and contributing to the wider life of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, well‑planned lessons that meet the needs of all learners.

Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils.

Create a positive, supportive and stimulating learning environment.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and leaders to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning.

Contribute to the Catholic ethos of the school and participate in the wider school community.

Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing.

We are looking for a teacher who is:

A practitioner with a strong track record of securing excellent outcomes for pupils or, for ECTs, evidence of strong potential and high‑quality training.

Skilled in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum.

Reflective, resilient and proactive in their professional development.

Able to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

Eager to contribute to our Catholic ethos and wider school life.

If you are ready to make a meaningful impact in a school where faith, community and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do, we would love to hear from you.

Details of this exciting position can be found in the attached Job Description.
