Richmond Hill Academy is seeking an exceptional Class Teacher to join our highly committed and ambitious team. This role is central to the continued success of our academy, and we are looking for a colleague who is passionate about delivering outstanding learning experiences and helping our children achieve their very best. About the Role
As a Class Teacher at Richmond Hill Academy, you will:
- Inspire, motivate and challenge pupils of all abilities through high‑quality teaching and a commitment to raising standards.
- Plan and deliver well‑sequenced, engaging lessons informed by strong curriculum knowledge and an understanding of effective assessment.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Establish a purposeful, inclusive and safe learning environment where all children are valued and can thrive.
- Contribute to the wider life of the academy, working proactively with colleagues to share effective practice and support the continued development of teaching and learning.
About You
You will be a colleague who:
- Holds QTS (or is currently in training).
- Demonstrates high expectations for all pupils and is committed to ensuring they achieve their full potential.
- Has secure knowledge of the primary curriculum and what constitutes excellent teaching and learning.
- Understands the importance of assessment for learning and uses assessment effectively to inform planning and improve outcomes.
- Uses a range of teaching strategies to engage, support and challenge all learners, including those with SEND, EAL or complex communication needs.
- Is reflective, open‑minded and committed to ongoing professional development.
- Works collaboratively as part of a strong team and contributes positively to academy life.

Richmond Hill Academy is a three-form entry school (630 places) with a 52-place nursery and Rainbow Base, a Resource Provision for children with complex communication needs.
