What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an ambitious and inspirational person with a passion for making a difference and enabling children to succeed, to take on the role of class teacher at our ‘good’ Infant and Nursery School. The role involves a 3 day a week class-based responsibility, in a job-share with an existing member of staff.

We are an inner-city Infant and Nursery School. We pride ourselves on the fact that we place children and relationships at the centre of everything we do. As a relational school, we strive to build, maintain and repair relationships with all stakeholders to ensure every child feels safe, secure, supported, happy, enthused and challenged. The successful candidate will:

The successful candidate will need:

  • A clear understanding of how young children learn
  • At least 3 years’ experience of working in Primary Education
  • The ability to work well with children, colleagues and other professionals
  • A commitment to child development and equal opportunities
  • An understanding of the law around keeping children safe (safeguarding)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Patience and a good sense of humour
