What skills and experience we're looking for

Class Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher to join our welcoming school community. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children with additional needs, delivering tailored lessons that support and inspire every child to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Class teacher to a group of key stage 2 children with Speech, Language and Communication needs and/or children with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Responsible for leading a curriculum subject across the Primary site
  • To effectively plan educational activities that are motivating to learners
  • To organise a person-centred learning environment ensuring pupils have access to a variety of practical equipment and Information Communication Technology
  • Provide a stimulating classroom environment appropriate to the age and needs of the pupils

Key Requirements:

  • Hold a recognised full teaching qualification such as QTS or be willing to undergo teacher training in line with current regulations.
  • Experience of working with children with special education needs
  • Ability to set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  • A clear understanding of the features of high-quality teaching and learning across different key stages.
  • Ability to manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
