What skills and experience we're looking for

The Headteacher of Bournes Green Schools and the CEO of SECAT are seeking to appoint a Class Teacher to join their team. The vacancy is not set for one specific year group; the successful candidate would likely be posted in KS1 or lower KS2. Applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed.

What the school offers its staff

Bournes Green Infant & Junior Schools are two successful, happy and heavily oversubscribed schools which serve the community of Thorpe Bay. We are committed to ensuring our children are given a first-class primary education. Our schools are particularly strong with their academic achievements as well as being known for their sporting prowess and our comprehensive Personal Development offer.

Our children are delightful; they are well behaved, articulate and keen to learn.

We have a wonderful parent community who are very supportive and ensure that their children have strong attendance and come to school ready to learn. In return, our parents expect us to provide an engaging, fun and inclusive curriculum and a range of additional opportunities.

We have a wonderful site with fantastic grounds and include forest areas, playgrounds, an artificial grass pitch, a huge field and wonderful outdoor equipment. We also have access to an on-site seasonable swimming pool and have two libraries and ICT Suite.
