What skills and experience we're looking for

Do you want to work in a great school that is going places? We are looking for a KS1 or KS2 teacher to work alongside our team.

You will have to work hard here, but only on the things that make a difference to children’s lives: we don’t do meaningless paperwork or data entry; we don’t grade lessons or monitor your planning; we don’t ask you to do pointless marking, but rather give you time to have meaningful feedback conversations with the children. We are always trying to find smarter ways of working so that you can have a real work-life balance. We are looking for people who are passionate about learning and improving their own practice and we will give you every opportunity and support to do this.

What the school offers its staff

You will be joining a 2-form entry school that serves the diverse and vibrant community of Woolston in Southampton (Ofsted Better than Good March 2025). Our community includes children and staff from a range of different faiths as well as no faith and we all work together to improve using our school values of Perseverance, Aspiration, Teamwork, Respect, Independence, Creativity and Kindness – our PATRICKs. Our curriculum is not just about English and maths, but provides children with wonderful opportunities in music, drama, the arts and sport and our adults have similar interests beyond the curriculum.

If you are an inspiring, reflective and passionate teacher, then we want you! Applications are welcomed from both ECTs and more experienced teachers.

Further information about the job

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
