We are looking for a committed and reflective Class Teacher to join Pakefield Primary School in Lowestoft on a maternity cover basis, working two days per week, teaching in upper KS2. This role offers the chance to provide high‑quality, consistent teaching at an important point in our pupils’ learning, within a welcoming and ambitious school at the heart of its community. The post is rooted in strong classroom practice, high expectations and positive relationships, alongside a genuine commitment to working collaboratively with colleagues and families to ensure continuity of learning.   • Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons that reflect the school’s curriculum and meet the diverse needs of all pupils.
  • Create a positive, calm and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, supported and motivated to learn.
  • Use assessment effectively to monitor progress, inform next steps and ensure pupils make strong outcomes from their individual starting points.
  • Set and sustain high expectations for learning, behaviour and personal development.
