What skills and experience we're looking for
Due to the retirement of one of our teachers, we are looking for a full-time class teacher to join our happy team. Ideally this would be a teacher for years 5&6, but there is the potential to change this for the right candidate based on their experience and skillset. This is initially a fixed term position beginning 1st September 2024with the potential of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
We are keen to hear from qualified teachers (ECTs maybe considered). We are especially keen to hear from anyone who may have experience of some or all of the following:
- Curriculum development and leadership
- Staff leadership & development (possibly including formal mentoring)
- Proven success in raising attainment within the classroom – preferably with experience across more than one Key Stage
We are seeking a ‘people person’ who likes interaction with others but who can equally work independently and manage a very busy work schedule which may include:
- Leading on the development and delivery of key areas of our curriculum
- Ensuring that the school’s commitment to safeguarding is upheld
- Actively seeking community engagement initiatives
What the school offers its staff
- Friendly, enthusiastic and motivated pupils who are eager to learn.
- Supportive colleagues and a happy school community who work closely with parents and governors.
- A friendly staff team who are supportive of each other.
- A rural school set in beautiful grounds in the Peak District.
