What skills and experience we're looking for
Following the promotion of a colleague to the deputy headship at a local school, Brook Street School is looking to appoint a dedicated, knowledgeable and effective classroom teacher. Please indicate in your application which phase you are most experienced and interested in.
We are looking for somebody with strong subject knowledge and pedagogy, who can foster excellent classroom relationships and promote a love of learning. You will also be skillful in adapting your teaching to meet the needs of different learners and using formative and summative assessment to secure good outcomes.
We are fortunate to have a team of excellent teaching and support assistants at our school and the successful candidate will be able benefit from their knowledge, experience and support to enhance their teaching and secure good outcomes for all pupils.

Situated in South Carlisle, we serve a uniquely diverse community. Over 25 different home languages are spoken by our families and our children all have different starting points. However, they are also the best thing about our school and help to make it such a special place to work, teach and learn.
