What we can offer you as part of our team:
- A caring and supportive school where children love to learn;
- The chance to teach an exciting curriculum (with opportunity for outdoor learning, PE and music covered by specialist teachers and cross-class and cross-school collaboration);
- A progressive school environment, where team-work and a shared vision drive school development;
- Opportunities within our federation to develop, share and collaborate with other teachers;
- A staff charter, showing our commitment to your career, ability to get on with the job and wellbeing, including PPA time available to be taken from home;
- Support and CPD through our ITT student teacher offer, and our work with VNET, Educate Norfolk and the Local Authority.
This post would suit someone who is ready to join our team, holds high expectations of themselves and others and strives to work in an environment which wants the best for everyone within it. We would welcome applications from individuals who:
- Are really good teachers, to join our strong team;
- Have a commitment to meeting the individual needs of all children;
- Work well within a team;
- Teach active and engaging lessons with high expectations from all children, engaging strategies and which are challenging and supportive of all;
- We actively support pathways to employment for the right people for our school. If you are the right person for our school, you might be looking to return to teaching after a break, from a global-majority background or from other diverse backgrounds.
At The Sunflower Federation we work hard to eliminate direct and indirect discrimination, harassment and victimisation; advance equality of opportunity; and foster good relations between all those within our school community. We do this with regard to the nine protected characteristics listed in the Equality Act 2010.
We encourage potential applicants to visit the school(s) and meet with Sarah Lewis, the Executive Headteacher, Tori Weal, the Deputy Executive Headteacher and the staff– these can be organised through the school office by email to Claire at - hempnalloffice@sunflowerfed.org.uk
